it's like i'm on a roll today! or maybe just incredibly bored and not doing what i'm SUPPOSED TO BE DOING...

i started this a couple months ago but decided i was going to redo it because i was making it too complicated, BUT. i came back to it this evening and thought "hey it's not THAT bad..." so ta-da!

The idea behind this is Art Nouveau with a masculine twist. With this piece, I didn't really have the patience to pencil/ink out such solid intricate linework, partly because i am TERRIBLE at drawing weapons (you see that M16? it's CROOKED.) but i think with the other pieces to follow, like WWI, I may use a more "art nouveau" style rather than collage.

was inspired to do this after one zany night i realized that the majority of art nouveau pieces contain floral patterns, stars, very "feminine" ideas. so i thought: what if those objects of repetition were more masculine, aggressive? and then i WARRRRRRR I CRIED.

but i like peace.

maybe i WILL redo it one day when i get a better understanding of computer programs and shtuff but for now this will do.
